Overview

The Fifth International Conference and Golden Jubilee Celebration of Vijnana Parishad of India (Society for Applications of Mathematics) on ‘Recent Advances in Mathematical Sciences with Applications in Engineering and Technology’ IC-RA-MSA-ET-2022 was the latest milestone in a series of achievements of School of Computational and Integrative Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India.

 

The three-days conference was jointly organized by the School of Computational and Integrative Sciences and Vijnana Parishad of India and was held in Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi on June 16-18, 2022 under the convenorship of Dr. Gajendra Pratap Singh, Assistant Professor, SCIS, JNU, New Delhi. A total of around 300 people participated in the Conference, including 57 eminent guests, speakers and chairpersons from different countries around the globe. There were 46 Invited talks in total and among participants, there were 55 paper presenters and 150 attendees in the Conference.

Proceedings of DAY-1


Opening session

The Inaugural session started with the puja of Maa Saraswati and lamp lightning at 10:00 a.m.. The opening remarks started with the welcome address by Dr. Gajendra Pratap Singh, Convenor and Organizing Secretary, SCIS, JNU. The conference details were explained by Dr. Gajendra Pratap Singh, SCIS, JNU. Our Chief Guest, Dr Gulshan Wadhwa, Scientist `F', Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India addressed the audience by their kind words. The conference had Guests of Honors and dignitaries Prof. C.K. Jaggi, Former Head, OR Department, University of Delhi, Delhi, and Prof. R.R. Bhargava, former Professor, IITR, Roorkee,UK, Prof Mukesh Jain, Dean, SCIS, JNU,  also enlightened the audience with their words. Further, the Presidential address was given by Prof. D.S. Hooda, President, VPI and the briefing was given by Prof. R.C. Chandel, Secretary, VPI. The awards were distributed to the awardees and the inaugural of the Book of Abstracts was done by our eminent guests. In the closing of the session, a vote of thanks was given by Dr. Kavita Arora, SCIS, JNU.



Session 1 –

After tea break, keynote speech-1 was delivered by Dr Gulshan Wadhwa, Scientist `F', Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India on the topic of ‘Applications of Mathematical Sciences in Biotechnology’. As the title says, the talk was very informative and very general. Participants took interest and participated actively during the discussion.

Session 2 –

In continuation, keynote speech-2 was delivered by Dr. S K Neogy, Professor & Head, Indian Statistical Institute, New Delhi, India on the title, ‘Recent Advances of Optimization Models in

Static and Dynamic games’.

Session 3 –

In continuation, keynote speech-3 was delivered by Prof. C.K. Jaggi, Former Head, OR Department, University of Delhi, Delhi on the title, ‘Integrating Sustainable Practices within Supply Chain Management’.


Lunch Break

After lunch break, we have three parallel sessions that run in parallel among which, two were offline and one online.


Parallel Session I (Hybrid mode)

In the session, keynote speech-4 was going to be delivered by Professor Satya Deo, Harish-Chandra Research Institute, Chhatnag Road, Jhusi, Allahabad-211019, India on the title, ‘Emergence of Topological Combinatorics’ but due to his health emergency, the talk was canceled. 

Further, keynote speech-5 was delivered by Gradimir V. Milovanovic, full member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Mathematical Institute of SASA, 11000 Belgrade, Kneza Mihaila 35, Serbia in the on-line mode on the title, ‘Generalized quadrature processes of Gaussian type - new directions and applications’.

After that, Invited talk-1 was delivered by Prof Anurag Singh, Department of Computer

Science and Engineering, NIT Delhi in the on-line mode on the title, ‘Spectral Graph Theory’.


Parallel Session II (Offline mode)

In the session, Invited talk-2 was delivered by Prof. A.P. Singh, Rajasthan Central University, Kishangarh, Ajmer on the title, ‘ON BUNGEE SETS OF TRANSCENDENTAL ENTIRE FUNCTIONS’.

Further, Invited talk-3 was delivered by Dr.Umesh Chandra Gairola,Professor,Department of

Mathematics, H.N.B.Garhwal University, (A Central University), Campus Pauri,Pauri Garhwal-246001, Uttarakhand,India on the title, ‘FIXED POINT RESULTS VIA SIMULATION FUNCTION’.

After that, Invited talk-4 was delivered by Dr.Manoj Sharma, HOD, Dept.Of Applied Mathematics, RJIT, BSF Academy Tekanpur, Gwalior(M.P.), INDIA in the off-line mode on the title, ‘Applications of Fractional Calculus in Kinetic Equations’.


Parallel Session III (Offline mode)

In the session, Invited talk-5 was delivered by Dr. Avanish Kumar, Professor in Mathematics, Dept of Math Sc & Comp App, Bundelkhand University, Jhansi on the title, ‘Container Technology and its Significance in Multidisciplinary Domain’.

Further, Invited talk-6 was delivered by Dr. S. Gandhiya Vendhan, Assistant professor, Department of Statistics, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore-46 on the title, ‘Internet of Things (IoT) with Data Insight and Design Thinking for Information System’.

After that, Invited talk-7 was delivered by Prof. R.R. Bhargava, former Professor, IITR, Roorkee,UK, India on the title, ‘Advancement in Smart Material Technology through Mathematics’.


Tea Break


After tea break, Contributory talks (in 3 parallel sessions- 1 Online and 2 Offline mode) were delivered by the participants (whose Abstracts were selected) on their domain areas and the talks were evaluated based upon the subject knowledge and their way of presenting and defending their work by our eminent guests.

After that, Invited talk-9 was delivered by Prof Aparna Lalingkar, Pune, India in the on-line mode on the title, ‘Applications of ML to Social Learning – Models for analyzing academic discussion forums and tracing collaborative learning skills’.

In the session, Invited talk-10 was delivered by Prof Akshansh Gupta, Scientist at CSIR CEERI Pilani Rajasthan on the title, ‘Applications of Machine/Deep Learning in the Health-Care System’.

Further, Invited talk-11 was delivered by Dr. Goonjan Jain, Assistant professor, Department of Applied Mathematics, DTU, Delhi on the title, ‘Natural Language Processing’.

After that, Invited talk-12 was delivered by Dr. R.C. Singh Chandel, Former Professor (Associate) and Head, Department of Mathematics, D.V. Postgraduate College, Orai, Uttar Pradesh, India in the off-line mode on the title, ‘SOME EXPECTATIONS WITH PROBABILITY DENSITY FUNCTIONS OF VARIOUS MULTIVARIATE DISTRIBUTIONS’.

In the session, Invited talk-13 was delivered by Prof. M.A. Pathan, Centre for Mathematical and Statistics, Peechi Campus, Peechi, Kerala, India on the title, ‘Advances Special Functions Associated with Lie Algebras’.

Further, Invited talk-14 was delivered by Prof. Atul Juneja, ICMR, New Delhi on the title, ‘Clinical Trials- Statistical Considerations and Sample Size’.

After that, Invited talk-15 was delivered by Prof. Adwitiya Sinha, Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Uttar Pradesh, India on the title, ‘Network Science & Applications in Large-Scale Graphs’.

In the session, keynote speech-9 was delivered by Prof. J.N. Singh, Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, Barry University, Florida 33161, USA on the title, ‘LINEAR OPTIMIZATION AND EXTENSIONS: A MATHEMATICAL VIEW’. 

Further, Invited talk-16 was delivered by Prof. Dr. Bal Ram Singh, Institute of Advanced Sciences, USA in the on-line mode on the title, ‘Ayurveda Biology and Mathematics’.

After that, Invited talk-17 was delivered by Prof. Paolo Emilio Ricci, Department of Mathematics, University of Rome and Catania, Italy in the on-line mode on the title, ‘Bell polynomials and Laplace Transform: A Survey’.

After that, Invited talk-23 was delivered by Prof. Rashmi Bhardwaj, University School of Basic and Applied Sciences, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Dwarka, Delhi - 110078, India on the title, ‘COVID 19 Pandemic walk through Fractal Dynamics’.

Report of the conference was presented by Dr. Gajendra Pratap Singh, Convenor of the Conference. Remarks about the conference were given by Dr. R.C. Chandel, Secretary, VPI. Awards were given to the best presenters in the Contributory talks. Presidential remarks were given by Dr. D.S. Hooda, President, VPI. Vote of Thanks was given by Dr. Gajendra Pratap Singh.
