Conference Highlights
The 21st annual conference of Vijñāna Parishad of India (VPI), was held during 26th-28th April, 2019 in SRM Institute of Science and Technology, NCR Campus, Ghaziabad. The aim of this conference was to provide a common platform for academicians, researchers as well as industrialists to showcase their work and to promote interdisciplinary research. MOCTSD-2019 provided an excellent forum for sharing knowledge and results in recent challenges in Engineering challenges. The conference also brought together Mathematicians, Statisticians and Computer Scientists to provide an overview of the state of art in the following areas but not limited: Mathematical Modeling, Operations Research, Computer Science, Applied Sciences, Engineering & Technology, Bio Sciences & Nanotechnology, Earth & Environmental Sciences, Industrial & Manufacturing Technology, Big Data & Analytics. MOCTSD-2019 and featured invited talks, oral and poster presentations.
Conference Report
The Inaugural Function of 21st Annual Conference of VPI on "Modeling, Optimization and Computing for Technical and Sustainable Development (MOCTSD-2019) was organized by SRM University Delhi-NCR Campus, Modinagar, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, India at 09.00 a.m. on 26th April, 2019. Associate Professor Dr. R.C. Singh Chandel, the Founder Secretary, VPI briefed the Aims and Activities of VPI. After that Guest of Honor Professor Avnish Kumar , Chairman CSTT and Director CHD, MHRD addressed the gathering of the conference.. The Keynote address was given by Professor P.K. Kapur, Director Interdisciplinary Research Centre , Amity University , Noida. The Chief Guest of Inaugural Function Professor B.D. Sharma , Former Professor Clark Atlanta University, USA and JIIT, Noida, Delhi University talked on " Generation of Random Numbers to Simulate the Real Life Situation " with the help of suitable mathematical models. Professor Madhu Jain, President of VPI highlighted the theme of the conference and put some light on the topic of papers to be presented in the conference.

After the Inauguration first plenary Talk Session was chaired by Professor G.C. Sharma, Ex Pro Vice Chancellor, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra, UP, India. Professor Avnish Kumar was the first speaker and he gave PROFESSOR J.N. KAPUR MEMORIAL LECTURE on " Optimal Distribution of Tasks to the Distributional System". Other two speakers were Professor M.A. Pathan, AMU, Aligarh and Professor Rajeev Kumar, MDU Rohtak.
Second Plenary Session was chaired by Professor C.K. Jaggi, Delhi University, Delhi, Professor Peeyush Chandra , Former Professor, IIT, Kanpur , Professor R.R. Bhargava, Former Professor IIT, Roorkee, Pofessor Nita H. Shah, Gujrat University, Professor Renu Jain, Jiwaji University, Gwalior gave the talks related to the theme of the conference.
Third Plenary Session was chaired by Professor R.R. Bhargava, Former Professor IIT, Roorkee. Professor C.K. Jaggi , Delhi University, Delhi, Professor Durga Toshniwal , IIT, Roorkee, Professor Mukesh Kumar, CCS University, Meerut, Professor Rakhi, BITS , Pilani, Professor Chandra Shekhar , BITS , Pilani, Professor D.S. Hooda, Former Dean, JIET , Raghogarh, Guna, and Associate Professor R.C Singh Chandel Former Head, D.V. Postgraduate College, Orai (Bundelkhand University, Jhansi) gave talks.
Fourth Plenary Session was chaired by Professor Avnish Kumar, Professor G.C. Sharma , BRA University, Agra, Professor S.C. Agrawal , CCS University, Meerut, Professor V.K. Katiyar, IIT Roorkee and Professor Anju Khandelwal gave talks in this session.
The Special Session for YOUNG SCIENTIST AWARD for Best Paper Presentation was organized and chaired by Professor S.C. Agrawal, CCS University, Meerut while judges were professor G.C. Sharma, BRA University, Agra, Professor Avnish Kumar, Chairman CSTT, Delhi and Associate Professor R.C. Singh Chandel, Former Head D.V. Postgraduate College, Orai (Bundelkhand University, Jhansi).
YOUNG SCIENTIST AWARDS were given to
1. Pure MathematIcs.

Best Paper Award was given to

The conference ended with a grand success. Total number of Registration were 125 where 25 invited talks and 6 plenary were organized while 50 papers were presented on different topics related to the conference.
